1. Scope
YueQu is a reading app for importing and reading EPUB and PDF files, asking reading questions, and organizing notes and insights. This policy explains what information the app processes, how it is used, and what control users have.
2. Information processed on device
- Imported books and related metadata
- Reading progress and resume position
- Bookmarks, highlights, notes, and organized entries
- Reader preferences and app preferences, such as interface language
This information is stored locally on the device in app files, local database storage, UserDefaults, or Keychain where applicable.
3. AI and network requests
If you use YueQu's AI-related features, the app may send the following information to the configured AI service or proxy service:
- Your question or prompt
- Selected passage text or surrounding context
- Book title and reading context such as chapter, source label, or page number
- Image-related reading context if that feature is used
The app may also send limited technical information needed to operate the service connection, such as app version, operating system version, device model, bundle identifier, and a locally generated device identifier.
4. Account and authentication data
When YueQu communicates with a configured AI proxy, the app may store an access token in the iOS Keychain. This token is used only to authenticate requests to the configured service.
5. Analytics and advertising
YueQu does not currently include third-party advertising SDKs. YueQu does not currently include third-party analytics SDKs for advertising profiling or cross-app tracking.
6. Data sharing
YueQu does not sell personal information. Data is shared only as needed to provide configured remote AI functionality or other network functionality explicitly used by the user.
7. Data retention
Local reading data remains on the device unless the user deletes it or removes the app. Remote AI service retention depends on the operator of the configured AI service or proxy.
8. User choices
- Avoid AI features if you do not want reading content sent to a remote service
- Delete imported content and locally stored reading data from the app
- Contact the developer for support or privacy requests
